The JB weld does work great, and holds a very long time. About 7 years ago, a good friend of mine had (and still has) an '86 Chevy K-5 Blazer. We took a trip up north with, and on the way home, we kept smelling gas. We looked at once we got home, and you could see where the fuel filter inlet in the Quadrabog Carb was leaking. We tried to unscrew the inlet fitting and make shure it was not cross threaded and redoing it, but it would not work. Finally after several attempts, he decided instead of buying another carg ( this one functions fine anyhow) that he'd try to JB Weld it. He cleaned and dried it up super well, mixed the JB Weld to proper mix, and applied it. He applied 2 coats on there, he let the first one cure for 6 hours before doing the second coat. He let is sit for 2 days after that, and tried it, Well its been over 7 years since he fixed it, and it still works fine. no leaks at all. Good luck!
