1953 B-3-PW Dodge Power Wagon $9,500 [TN]

It is a 1953 1-ton civilian Power Wagon, and as you can see by the pictures, it is in excellent shape for an unrestored PW. The cab, cab corners, rockers, doors, hood, and grille are not only completely rust free, but they also have no dents and still wear the original paint. The dealership logo "Grinnell Dodge" is still plainly painted on the door. The running boards have a few rusty spots and so do the fenders where the running boards bolt up to them, but they are all easily fixable. The cab floor is absolutely perfect with the exception of a quarter-sized hole beside the removable panel under the driver's feet.

All of the interior panels are still inside, no glass is broken, and nothing has been butchered, hacked, or modified. The only thing missing is the speedo and gauges. Somebody removed them and put in cheesy aftermarket gauges but fortunately did not cut or modify the dash. The truck has been converted to 12 volt and some of the wiring is a little jerry-rigged, but the truck starts and runs great and most accessories seem to work.

Under the hood, once again, it is virtually untouched, everything works, and the engine runs extremely well.. Of course this is a winch truck and it is all there and doesn't look like it has been used hardly at all. The only real damage to the truck is in the front bumpers which look like somebody did some heavy pushing at one time or another. I have another headlight, (off an M-37) but not the proper pedestal to mount it. The cab appears to be loaded with a bunch of options like drivers side spot light, cab running lights, and an amber flashing light in center of cab. I don't think these are cheap, truck-stop add-ons because they look pretty old, and somebody took the time to put them on right.

The bed is pretty amazing. Not only are the bedsides rust-free, (except for light surface rust here and there) but they are straighter than any I have ever seen. I mean not hardly a dent anywhere. This truck was obviously used very, very little. The bed floor still has the original wood planks and metal strips in it, but the wood is pretty rotten and would need to be replaced. The tailgate is once again pretty much rust free, but it is dented up a little and would need some hammer and dolly time, however once again, easily repairable.

Mechanically the truck runs extremely well. The tranny and transfer case, and clutch all seem to work fine, but there is some slop in the u-joints. The brakes DEFINITLY need to be done as they are almost non-existent, and the exhaust system and weather striping could stand to be replaced

I'm looking to get $9,500 for it and if you would like to see more pictures or talk to me about it; email me at sandkdavid@comcast.net
