I really agree. It will be disappointingly plastickey. When the new Rams came out I tapped the front grille and felt a big letdown when it had that plastic feel. Not like the "jailhouse" of an old one or even the hardware cloth of a Landcruiser. And the motor is total overkill. Who needs 780 ft-lb!! If you're going to pull a 20,000 lb trailer you need a long WB 12-20,000 lb mid-range truck for control. And hooked up to light duty running gear: car-derived automatic (Allison 5 or 6 speed or Eaton/Fuller 6 or 9 speed manual more appropriate), aluminum transfer case with chain and planetary gears (I'd like a Rockwell T-223, please), 1/2 ton axles!!! Needs at least Dana 80 rear, 60 front. Well, maybe they'll fix all that before they release it. The new Ford F450s and 550s 4X4s are pretty well set up.
