I have been reading in past forums about V-8 conversions in M-37's and WM300 Power Wagons. Usually we see limitations of space or problems involved cooling the engine once it is fitted in there. I was pondering some ideas with my Dad about possible modern gasoline-powered engine replacements and we came up with perhaps a possible idea and wondered if perhaps anyone has thought of this prior.
Is it possible or even probable to use a 3.9 liter Dodge V-6 mated with a Ranger Overdrive on the M-37 or the WM300? I realize that motor mounts have to be fabricated, as well as scads of other details, but it seemed to be a possability. I cannot speak for the WM300, but to the naked-eye, the M-37 should have ample room for this.

Any ideas or comments? I could be way off-base (it won't be my first time)
