Enjoyed your post regarding tires and wheels on the old Dodges. I've enjoyed these old trucks for the last 20 years. My local truck tire store actually likes ot see me coming because it always means an interesting vehicle. The average tire store guy is at a complete loss with these old rigs.
My question pertains to the 1/2 ton vs 3/4 and 1 ton wheels. I have several 3/4 tons trucks all with 9.00 16 and stock wheels. Recently acquired a WC12 1/2 ton with original wheels (more off-set for duals and less "lip" at bead) and would like to mount 9.00 16 NDT's. What problems are ahead? I also have an extra set of combat rims off a WC 63 6x6 in great condition that I could easily use. I ahve seen post on the forum regarding clearance over the drums. Thank you for you comments.
