My '49 Dodge is having some starting problems that I hope you all can help me with.
This summer I've had problems with it acting starved for gas especially about 30 seconds after I start it up(especially after being driven awhile).
Thought it was vapor lock but even on cooler days this happened. It really coughed and died going up hills so I blew out the fuel lines, cleaned the filters and even replaced the fuel pump.
Ran well for a day but then back to the same. Could this be due to sediment in the tank or something else??
Had it 6 years and never had this problem before. If I can keep it running by pumping the gas it eventually runs smooth. I'm perplexed. Never rebuilt the carb yet.
Hope you all can help me. Thanks. Tom
