Heck, you're doing better than me, I have the whole front end sheetmetal off my Power Wagon and am contemplating a engine/tranny swap with a rebuilt 230/ NP420. The original engine runs good, and stays at 160 on the temp, untill I install a 180 deg thermostat, then it spikes up to 210 deg. I think theres some corrosion issues in the water dist tube or something. I've never had a thermostat in it and like I said it runs fine. Maby I should just let sleeping dogs alone.
