Eric, I have found that more than half of all my business-oriented emails go unanswered. It is frustrating to read a website, and then click on an email address for more info, etc, and then get no response, ever.
Rather than rudeness, I have come to believe that the people responsible for answering these website-generated email features (and the similar feature that is part of every Ebay auction) have not been made aware of the feature, (remember that website designers put them into websites, but cannot enforce their use - that is a management decision) or just choose not to check their office-based email boxes very often.
I check all three of my email boxes several times a day, but I believe that some folks just have not caught on to the efficiency of it all, yet.
