I'm not sure what ratio I have in my truck but it doesn't take too steep a hill to require downshifting. Changing the ratio would only make this worse. With the tight limits of the front end bigger engines are not practical either. Better off to stay with the old dependable but gutless 230 and low gears and use the truck as originally designed. Spectators get a better view of your truck at 45 anyway
