I thought all air compressors had these? If your having start up problems, what voltage are you running the compressor on? what horsepower is it also, are you using an extension cord?
A lot of compressors can be rewired from 120 volts to 240 volts, you will need to change your house/shop wiring over as well.
I did this with my 5 horse sears compressor and it starts much better now.
