It works as of about 10 minutes ago I got the hoist to run up and down on its own power. Now all I have to do is tighten the odd bolt and clean the cables.

I ended up using a AC Tech SCL/SCM brain box to convert 240 single phase to three phase. Up here in Canada the box cost me 5 hundred bucks , down state side I see they run much cheaper. All told I am into the hoist for about 3200 Canadian. Too be honest unless you can get a used hoist for around a grand it is a waste of time not buying a new one. I spent too much time sand blasting ,painting, sanding and trying to figure out how to get the electrical set up.
So I have a antique hoist for my antique vehicles. I am not exactly sure when the hoist was first installed but it looks like the mid 50s or earlier.

A new Bradbury free wheel hoist would have cost around 12 grand. There are several American models that are much cheaper and would pretty much do the same job.

You guys take care

Bruce

I may make it down to Washington and Jonas play ground next year. I did manage to look at some power wagons but the price climbed beyond what I thought was reasonable.
