What year Valiant? As depending on year, the Valiants used a 170, 198 or 225 Slant six. Make shure your engine is a 225 Slant six, as you would not want a smaller one in a truck. Basically they are close to the same between trucks and cars, expect the trucks had upgraded bearings, rings, valves, depending on what tonnage and use type truck they were going to be installed in. If its a 225 Slant six, Id pull it, Buy a rebuild kit for a Truck slant six and use it. Thanks!
