Ken,
Thank you for hosting the Vermont get together. We had a blast! It always amazes me how nice PW people are. This was Kerri's first exposure to others afflicted with the POWERWAGON disease; she says she liked it enough to want to go to Iowa!
Now a new problem...after driving on the beach yesterday I found it very hard to get out of gear. Clutch pedal to the floor and the truck would creep. No evident leaks in the hydraulics; when my daughter presses the pedal the slave throws about 1 1/2 inches. I pulled back the dust boot and the adjustment nuts were loose. So for about two hours my daughter pushed the pedal in and out and learned the basics of clutch engagement. I got to the point where the clutch no longer engaged with the pedal depressed. I took it out for a spin and now the clutch is slipping. So I adjusted back again and now the clutch engages with the slightest elevation off of the floor; it still slips!!! During the adjustment of the length of the rod the boot worked loose from the slave cylinder and it appears there is some scant fluid inside. Bad seal in the slave?
I have Ray Suiter's 318 kit with a hydraulic, (duh!), clutch and MC. Does anyone know the part number for the slave cylinder/seals for the slave? I seem to remember that the slave was only about $12.00; however if it is not damaged replacing the seals would be fine too.
Thanks again and sorry for the long post.
Eddie
