i just went and looked at again, and i think it's a 54 not a 48. there is a date stamped on the passenger side of 1/15/54, but i couldn't read the writing next to it. i assume that's a build date? from my limited knowledge i think it's an M-37 and was a former city of south bend truck. it's painted highway department orange and has a faded City of South Bend decal on both doors. it's also an open top model with the spare tire holder on the driver's side door. i don't think it runs because the gas pedal is just laying flat against the floor. it's been there for a couple months so i could probably get it for about $2000. what do you guys think? should i buy it?
