If you look on the net at cable web sites, you'll find stainless is not as strong as wire rope. You can use 1/2 inch wire rope on the MU2 that is the same size used on the 1.5 ton Dodge. It's more cable than you need and will be a little more difficult to work with. I would go with 250 feet of 7/16 wire rope. That much fills the cable drum. Shop around. When I bought my cable last December, price ranged from $.65 to $1.50 a foot for 7/16 wire rope. Guess which one I bought. Buy the heavy duty clamps and if you’re not familiar how to rig them properly, ask where to place the pull line and “dead man” in the saddle. The PIF file has specs on the 7/16 wire rope.
