Thank you for explaining why you feel the need to steer POWER-WAGON discussion on this forum towards the political side. You have finally given us validation for why you feel the way you do towards some people. I am sorry if I backed you into a corner where you felt like you had to defend yourself. I can understand why you would be reluctant to share the past details of your experiences. But, I think the folks here deserve to hear your reasons behind why you want to discuss political issues, if they are going to be subjected to it. You have now explained your side. Some people enjoy these discussions. As you should have surmised by now, I would much rather come here, talk POWER-WAGONS, and kid around a little bit with friends and acquaintances without the political overtones. Personally, I don’t enjoy the political threads and I don’t read them unless I am really bored or drawn into them by headings that appear to allude to other topics. As you said, everything is political, but to some of us, coming here is a way to hopefully get a temporary recess from all of that, as it is a major important part of our daily lives and everyone needs a break from it all now and then. Not everyone agrees with the way I feel the Forum should be. Not everyone agrees with the way you feel the forum should be. The forum belongs to everyone so it we be what it be. I am not going to get into the middle of a political fight on here with you or anyone else. One reason, we have never sat down together and talked about political issues, So I really don’t know where you stand on all the issues, and I know you don’t know where I stand. We may agree on most things or we may be miles apart. It really doesn’t matter here because we agree that we both like POWER-WAGONS. But, when I see a bunch of my friends fightingk, or picking fights, it will only take it so long before I hit them with a water hose to break them up. No, there has not been any really serious casualties, here as of yet, from these discussions. But I believe the time may come. I have a brother-in-law who used to be a smoker. He quit for whatever personal reasons he had. Some in my family still smoke. I care for my brother-in-law deeply, but I have to tell you, he can be the biggest pain in the butt on the subject when we are all together. And, although I have never smoked myself, he even gets on my nerves. Norm, please don’t become a big pain in the butt here over the issues that are rightfully important to you. You are too well respected here and the information you provide on POWER-WAGONS is way too valuable.

I hope to meet you someday. You are welcome anytime to come to my place, stay and talk POWER-WAGONS. You can eat at my table and I will give you a ride in my trucks. But, if you want to talk politics, don’t bring it up while the truck is moving. You know what I mean?

Clint
