When we get to around 1,000 messges, I file away the old messages, and build a new page. At 1,000 the page will load slow, some people have had problems posting when the page gets too long. The script I use, never had a good archival function, so its a manual process. I can set up the new page in about two minutes. I copy al the messages to my PC, than copy them to another website for the Last Forum link. That part takes about ten minutes, which is why you will can't see the Last Forum right away.
