As I've been told and concluded,the waterpump housing on the 251 in the WM300s is,
an application only unit with the impeller being removable for rebuild so, you should rarely if ever need to remove the housing itself. It is a shame the impeller will not interchange with the BB Mopar removable impeller but, if you ever have the chance to check out the electric waterpump units offered in Summit or jeggs automotive catalogs,you can imagine how easy it would be for them to take one of our impeller units and build one for the WM300 251 application thus freeing up some horses our old flatheads could use !If someone could find out who makes the Summit unit or contact one of the other elect. W/P manufacturers like MEZIERE, CSI, or MONROSO
purhaps they might consider it or at least sell us the motor and seals so we could build our own elect. W/P unit from billet.
