See the previous forum and responses to a post by Storm S dated 7/29. There is a response from Paul Cook and, also, one from myself. Follow the link on Paul's and you will get a very good explanation of how the system works. The hole in the cap needs to be there. It's all in the adjustment of the shaft that drives the piston, assuming everything is OK inside the M/C. Your's is too loose. You need to start the stroke with the piston further into the bore.
