In my opinion, the 135 Miller or Lincoln is small for a shop working on trucks. I realize you mentioned minor body work, but in the future, what if you need to weld up a snow plow frame or equal heavy stock. I would suggest as minimum a 175 Miller. They are only about 150 bucks more than a 135 and they have infinate wire speed control, plus so much more. The 175's will require 220 volt supply, but that is not hard to wire in to the shop from your breaker box. I have the concern that in the not to distant future you will want/need a larger welder than the 135's. Check out BR Welder on line

Be sure your 2x4 props dont have rot, and wear a back brace for under car welding ha ha
