I agree. It's just very ironic that the only way to keep a public campground public is for a private group to buy it. Of course then we have the lawyers telling the generous private landowner that if he doesn't post it "no trespsassing", and somebody gets hurt on it, they'll sue him and end up with the land themself. An idiot can only sue the government for getting hurt on public land if some man-made structure is "defective" (like the handrail in my previous story). However on private land, an idiot can walk over a cliff and sue the landowner for not putting up a fence.
