We have been into the 100s and the M-37 was running hot pulling the steep 8 mile grade. I had flushed the radiator and it helped a little. After I put the new fuel pump it I took it for a test drive and it got hot again up to 210 degs. So I pulled the radiator and hooked my Fire pump to it and blew 100+ GPM thru it and realy cleaned it out. Thought maybe I should do he same to the engine while I was at it. Cranked up the pump and blew it in reverse flow and it looked like there might have been a mouse nest or a bunch of seeds in it cause it blew brown and junk everywhere. The engine must have sat for a while with out a hose on it and the filled it up. Now it runs at 160 degs pulling the same hill. Cheap repair and good use of the fire pump too! Mark H.
