As near as I can tell, Mike has never made a slight attempt to inform anyone on this forum. He only scolds, disuades, insults, and patronizes. If we all took his advise, we would do no work on our own trucks, and leave everything to a professional.
Speaking as someone who has been a PROFESSIONAL tire man, I say the plain and simple reason no one works on lock ring rims is they are an increadible amount of work. There is no way to break them down on a machine, no way to do it except through sheer grunt work. The guy at the heavy truck shop who does the lock ring rims, is a 16 year old kid getting paid minimum wage. Sorry for the rambling post, I just want to support Chris in what he is saying.
