I believe 70 mph to be about the redline speed of the engine with 5.83. The engine is noticeably more potent than the 230. I tried it on a local hill that the 230 will sometimes make in 4th if you hit the bottom at 45 mph and top at 30mph. I started the 6at off at the bottom and wound it to 15mph in 2nd, 30-32 in 3rd and backed off at about 50 in 4th with speed still climbing. Boost gauge hits 14 pds. It is enough better than the 230 to make the truck worth finishing. Not the power level of the 360 in the Carryall though. Sorta noisy at speed too. Sounds like a baby 18 wheeler when the turbo spools up good and you shif gears. No muffler or tailpipe yet. Stay tuned but I don't think it will make Ouray, probably the gasser with PS and DB will.
