In the photo classifieds, I see maybe 2 trucks that are a little high in my opinion, 1 of which is " restored' and the other is not. I don't believe the owners of those two trucks are trying to make a living by gouging newbies, they just have a butt load of cash spent making those trucks what they are. The unrestored trucks, they all seem reasonable to me. No more than any other type of vehicle that is collected.
I know from the trucks I have, I can't get rid of them for what I paid, And I didn't over pay by much, except on the 59 W300 I have. That was my mistake of over paying what the truck was worth.
As far as people using Joes Forum ( Thanks Joe) for buying and selling, who cares. I know I would rather one of these guys searches out a truck a makes a small profit selling it to me, than spending my time looking for one. I have enough to do. How about you? do you need something to occupy all your free time? come work on one of my trucks. I'll pay you. I haven't had a lot of time to touch my trucks since I Bought them. They are turning into rust piles.
