Yeah, seems to be a pattern emerging, but you'd need a few more serial and model numbers to see if it holds true. I wonder if they maintained that pattern until '57 when the US trucks began the transition to a standard multi-year model number. I talked to the guy whose family had a Dodge dealership in Vernon today. He said that up until 1941 they sold all of Chrysler's product lines. After that date, the lines were split and other dealerships licensed. There were Chrysler/Plymouth/Fargo and DeSoto/Dodge/Dodge truck dealers, and their family got the latter. It wasn't a positive move from his point of view, because in 1961 the DeSoto was dropped, leaving them without a high-end car to sell. He never had much to say about Power Wagons, except that he couldn't understand why anyone would want to collect anything that rode like a boxcar, and "oh, by the way, do you know about that one over by..."
