The ones I had used in the past were sized by nominal diameter of the seal surface. Your drive train parts house could size them for you.

My experience with them involved renewing surfaces on truck tractor wheel seal surfaces, and the ones I had used involved lightly heating them. We did that with an acetylene torch, but understand the torch was way back from the sleeve, perhaps 15 inches away from the outermost portion of the flame cone.. That metal is very thin, and it takes little heat to make them grow enough to be fitted.

They came with a ring to slide them on with, to ensure that they slid on straight. Once they cool and shrink fit, they are in place. If it is not right, you had to cut it off and do it again.

I admit to not being familiar with any that would be driven on, but perhaps that is quite common now.
