That does not eliminate the possibilty of a merger or that the new generation CAT medium duty motor could indeed find it's way into a new rumored Medium Duty Dodge truck, but with all of the options already available to D/C and the Cummins contract it seems strange at the least. Why go outside the company when you already own or control three diesel companies (Mercedes, Detroit and Mitsubishi) and have a purchase contract with a fourth, Cummins?
