4 barrel carb

would like to put a 4 barrel carb on my 318. Local junkyard has one but says it is from a 72 dodge my manuals say that 318 4 barrels came on 1979 and on and 360 engines were early 1972 . does any no these specs? He also said it was a afb carb which wasnt in my manuals. thanks bob s.
