I talked to a guy down here that also told me about the overheating problems with Big Blocks and the stock Radiator. I had found the motor/trans&t/c set-up locally in the paper and was kicking it around before I bought it. So far it does'nt look good. Guess I'm back to the small block idea, not as many issues putting a small block in anyway.

As for going with the WC frame instead of the more plentiful m-37...I don't own any M-37 stuff, lots of PW and WC stuff but no M-series. So it was a matter of availability. I bought that WC to get the widshield frame and front fenders/lights and bumpers for my wifes WC and for the combat wheels for my PW. All the rest of the parts went to people trying to finish up WC's of thier own, and that left me with the frame and axles to do something with. So...why not build a trail truck out of some of the parts I have. WC frame with the springs relocated to give it a 104" wheelbase, lighter sring packs, V8/auto, and disc brakes. I'm not using any WC sheetmetal(I have a finished WC), all PW sheetmetal(with the roof cut off similar to Don Evan's firetruck), rollcage and a low side 1/2 ton bed cut down to 5ft to fit the truck.

I'm going to post pics of whats been done so far the first part of next week.

(the pic is of my PW project and my wifes WC, the trail truck is being built out at my Dad's place where all the parts truck are and ther's more room)
