When a customer of mine suggests such foolishness, then That is the time i add a lot of $$$ to the estimate to do it their way, then give them an estimate to do it logically. ( I usually add some to that one to, because they seem to have money to burn). They usually go the cheaper route. But hey if they want to pay for it, fine.
