I just got back from looking at a big renovation job. Get this the people have a house, 4 years old, with a 26x32 3 bay garage. They want to tear the garage down and build a new one the same size, on the same foundation, only using 2x6s instead of 2x4s. The roof is framed with trusses and they want to put rooms above, so I can see taking off the roof, but to level the whole thing because, and I quote, "2x4s just dont look chunky enough" Yes, I explained that the 2x4s were plenty strong enough for what they are doing but no, they want 2x6s. Oh well, I just wish I could teleport it 25 miles to my place. It would look great with a couple of my junkers lounging about in there. And, they are perfectly happy to pay me to take it down! Oh to have that kind of money.
