The lever type Dualmatics can be greased to your heart's content. I would grease the cylinders that the levers are attached to as they are the only moving parts. These hubs operate differently than those lockout hubs that call for NO grease. When you turn that lever you are positively locking the hub. Whereas the hubs that don't use grease, when you spin the dial you are actually just biasing a sliding gear through a spring.

Another note about these lever style hubs, I advocate painting the "lock" side a different color than the "free" side. In this way you can more easily see in the mud or snow or dark whether both levers are in lock or free position. If only one lever is in locked position, the hub will still be locked but with all the force being transferred through that one locking cylinder, vastly weakening the hub. Also, it's easiest if the transmission or transfercase is in neutral when locking these hubs. As you rotate the lever you are positively engaging a cylinder(in the hub body) with a sprocket(on the axle shaft), if they are not lined up just right, one of the two has to move a little.
