Structial Fire Fighting and Wildland Fire Fighting are 2 different jobs both involing fire. You can train for Structial Fires with old buildings, on wildland fires it is different you need to go to fires and put them out to learn how they burn. If we never have fires and a big one happens you have rookies on them and people get hurt. By going to fires you learn how they react and how to fight them. It takes a few fires at the beging to get good again, more fires under your belt the better you react to them and get faster putting them out. Mark H.
