Hi Steve, I have been working on this for about 4 years now, I have finally come up with what I think will be a decent bushing at a minimal cost..I am presently having some cast by a quite large and well known bronze foundry, I have selected a sintered oilite bronze with 7 % nickel content and the oil impregnate will be a synthetic lubricant. The foundry techs estimate the bushings will last under normal shaft speed of 250 RPM or less for over 750,000 revolutions before any detectable wear. Bottom line should be about $10-15 per bushing! Way less than anyone else! I am testing a set now in my M37 without lockout hubs to see how they do. I have also specified a slightly larger OD as the other guy's bushings seem to fit loose in most housings (according to reports from several rebuilders I have been working with)
Plus the shrink factor when the bushing is driven into it's final place. I should be receiving the first order in about 25 weeks. I will then let every one know they are available. I am also working on bushings for the dana housings...44, 60, 70.
