I did a stupid thing while I was changing batteries. I tried to hook it up backwards. I was wondering why it was sparking so and why my alternator started smoking. Well with a test light my alternator is still working well. Plus my lights are still bright at night. I work the night shift. With all of this going on my ampmeter is not registering that my battery is being charged. Did I fry my amp meter or my voltage regulator. Neigther are expencive but I want to fix the problem not throw parts at it. What do you gentelmen think?
