Some of them didn't even bother to "redecorate" previous models, but simply wrote the vehicle up as the current model year. One of the guys that stores things at my place is into old Willys trucks. According to him, if they sat on the dealers lot for 3 years, they were sold as the current model, regardless of what the actual production date was. Maybe this was a "local" thing that only a few dealers did, but he has run into it quite a bit. J.V.L.
