If I were you I would pull the head back off and look it over real well for cracks or some type of problem with the head gasket installation. Don't forget to rotate crank while inspecting to look for cracks in the cylinder walls. If it is coming out as fast as you say, the defect should be obvious unless it is a crack around the valves/manifold area that you couldn't see as refered to by Vaughn. I carefully filled my block with water while the head was off and rotated the crank just to satisfy a "what if" that I had. I just opened the block drain and let the water out when it got too high. What type head gasket did you use? Did you put any type sealing material like a spray copper coat to the gasket? Did you torque it to the proper specs and sequence?
Hope you find something more fixable than a cracked block.
