Hi Paul,
I happened to be in Burlington at the end of the day today so I stopped at LCT. Sure enough they do have an old brute. It does have a boom off the front anchored by a chain which heads back and the shorter you make the chain, the higher the boom goes. It looked like it had been through the war, on the losing side. I took some pictures and will post them tomorrow if I get a chance. They do still use it on a regular basis.
