Fred,
I finally managed to get the numbers off my Willys engine. First, the governor is a belt driven unit that mounts to the top left corner of the engine, on two head bolts and one intake manifold bolt.

The head of the engine has 2-20 639660 C W5 as well as Willys JEEP cast into it.

The pad behind the oil filter reads
MB-526776

Cast in the block between the starter and generator is
12-12 638632 W5 A NI-CR

A few of these last numbers and/or letters were hard to read.
Thanks for any info anyone can provide on what year/model this engine is and what it came from.
