I highly recommend going to a different lift pump on your truck.
These are notorious on the 2nd gen trucks & a weak link. It can be very very expensive when it goes since usually it takes your injection pump with it...consider yourself very lucky if your only problem is the pump...you may have gotten very lucky.
The problem is not the pump...it's having the pump bolted to the engine.
Electric motors don't fare well being bolted to vibrating diesel engines!
