You are asking the wrong questions. The only things that mater when connecting to the crank are whether the input shaft's pilot bearing size matches the pilot bearing and does the input shaft go deeply enough into the bushing.

Input shaft geear teeth and splines are don't matter to the crankshaft - just make sure the spine match the clutch and the gear teeth match the trans.

Finally, what you really want to know. Will a NP453 just bolt onto the original bellhousing so you can swap out the original trans? No. It won't bolt up to an early flathead bellhousing. However, you could swap on a poly 318 bellhousing, which is said to have the same bellhousing pattern as the flatheads and it will have your Dodge NP 435 bolt pattern. You may then use factory parts to install the NP 435.

Notes: the 1960's NP435 have a shorter output shaft. 1970-1980's NP 435 often have dual PTO openings. Swap older output shaft/internals into newer NP435 case (some threaded holes need added for older style rear bearing support) to make a short NP 435 w/ driver's side PTO.

Finally, make sure you think this out well. Swapping the original trans for the NP435 is not much of a difference for alot of work.

Good luck.
