I heard that if you do each one leaf individually, let 'em all dry, reassemble 'em, there is a noticeable difference in the ride of the vehicle. There was originally a coating of (?) between each spring (merely paint?) that has deteriorated over the years, so by re-coating and reassembly, you get the original ride back.
...? Can anybody support or deny that?
