I definitely agree that epoxy primer needs to be topcoated. I used some fancy 3-part strontium chromate epoxy primer that a friend of mine salvaged from a large airplane factory located near Seattle, and it was incredible paint -- dried fast, rock-hard, stuck like crazy, but I didn't top coat it right away and wherever the sun hit it it became powdery and crumbled within a year. I asked him about it and he confirmed that epoxy primers have no UV resistance and ust be top-coated immediately.
