???????

I am wondering why someone cannot design a bell housing that is a combination of the Dodge transmission mount and the Chevy or Ford or Dodge engine mount...One that accepts the V6 or V8, and in its design make it EXACTLY like the Dodge design where it mounts onto the tranny and mounts to the frame rails.

In this way, a person could keep the original transmission with floor pedals, in the same location, and bolt in a V6 or V8 engine... Seems easy enough for an experienced company.. Would the casting of such a bell housing be that cost prohibitive?
The only other thing I can think of is a modified input shaft that would need to be installed in the original transmission in place of the factory shaft. That shouldnt be that difficult?

I know that Helitool is in the process of making a V6 conversion for the 1/2 ton WC, and the plan calls for the use of hanging pedal assemblies instead of retaining the floor pedals.

But thats not what I really want... : (
