I moved my TC crossmember back 7 1/2 inches to accomidate an Advance Adaptors overdrive. I also lowered the brace about 1/2 inch but still had to cut about an 1 1/2 " opening in the cab make room for the parking brake assembly. I used the original intermediate shaft and TC. The overdrive was only 7 1/2 inches long so thats all I had to move. The drive shafts were lengthened/ shortened approiately and seem to work fine. I happen to have an extra TC case crossmember if you need one. This make save you the grief of grinding off/ heating/ and pounding out the 12 rivets holding the crossmember on.
