I am definitely moving the transfer case way back. I intend to move or install an original T-case crossmember in the rearward location and slightly lower. I am lowering the transfercase to get it below the flat rear floor and to help with the final driveshaft angle. I will probably fabricate a new crossmember to mount the auxilliary transmission where the transfer case now sits.

I'm intending this for a 114" wheelbase, so my rear driveshaft will be dangerously short. If I cut the intermdeidate shafts down from 10" to 7", my final rear driveshaft will only be 11" long. I think that will work, but I'd be more comfortable if I could make it a little longer by doing a more radical shortening of the intermediate shafts. I expect to use a pillow block on the front driveshaft since it will be getting pretty long.
