The short block - w/in 2 hours going slowly. Do clean out the oil galleys again after the machine shop has the block. Dirt/filings ect are always in the galleys.
This is assuming you are not installing valve guides. They take between 30 seconds and 30 minutes EACH to install in my experience.
Finally, remember to keep it all spotlessly clean, verify bearing clearances, pre-lube wearing surfaces, and take your time assemblng the engine.
