I just did this yesterday, ran out of Acetylene whil cutting 600# of steel off my newly 'stolen' Power Wagon. Can't get a big enough flame, but it worked on light stock. My brother used to work at NASSCO, they used city gas for cutting, but had special tip, maybe a big acetylene tip would help, I only had the one to try. It does work for brazing though. Check this post again, I'll see if I can learn more.
