i went the route of grinding the box and cutting a 1/8 to 1/4 eyebrow cut out of the frame. i did it with a good jigsaw and saved the piece. the command will never have non power steering while i own i and i do not plan on selling it any time soon.
bending is good too. i dont know enough about heating a frame though.
